    CITT Preliminary Determination of Injury on corrosion resistant steel sheet 2

    January 13, 2020 – The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) determined on January 7, 2020 that the dumping and subsidizing of certain corrosion resistant steel sheet originating in or exported from Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam has caused or is threatening to cause injury to the Canadian domestic industry.

    This preliminary injury inquiry followed the notification, on November 8, 2019, that the President of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) had initiated investigations into the alleged injurious dumping of the above-mentioned goods.

    Detailed product descriptions of the subject goods, including exclusions are provided in the CITT Preliminary Determination of Injury.

    The subject goods are usually classified under HS codes 7210.30.00.00, 7210.49.00.10, 7210.49.00.20, 7210.49.00.30, 7210.61.00.00, 7210.69.00.10, 7210.69.00.20, 7212.20.00.00, 7212.30.00.00, 7212.50.00.00, 7225.91.00.00, 7225.92.00.00 and 7226.99.00.10. ?These classification numbers are for ease of reference only.     A preliminary determination by CBSA of dumping/subsidy can be expected within 30 days, at which time, depending on CBSA’s decision, provisional duties may commence.

    The statement of reasons containing additional details of the determination will be posted on CITT’s website within 15 days
